Meet Dr. James Kubo
James D. Kubo, DDS, offers gentle, professional orthodontic treatments to his patients in and around Fresno. He believes in treating his patients as he would his family, with compassion and tenderness, while providing exemplary orthodontic care.
Dr. Kubo enjoys his time with his patients, and getting to know each of them as a person, not just as an orthodontic patient in the practice. He is always ready to sit and talk for a bit, to reassure new patients about the orthodontic process and make sure they understand what is going to happen and why.

Community Involvement
An active member of his community, Dr. Kubo has served as the chairman of the board of the Fresno Betsuin Buddhist Temple. His temple provides community outreach with visits to assisted living communities, the Poverello House, and others. Also, the temple sponsors both a Girl Scout troop and a Boy Scout troop. He has served as President of the Central California District Council and President of the University of California, San Francisco Orthodontic Alumni Foundation.
Outside the Office
A native of Kerman, Dr. Kubo now calls Fresno his home. In fact, he has lived most of his life here, except for six years away pursuing his dental and orthodontics education. He lives with his wife Jenny, with whom he has two lovely daughters. The family also shares their home with three cats named Kyo, Luna and Oliver.
When he’s not spending time with his family, or cheering on his daughters at tennis matches, Dr. Kubo loves sports. He is a longtime fan of Fresno State, UCLA, the San Francisco Giants, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Golden State Warriors.
A couple of little known facts about Dr. Kubo - He is a "sneakerhead", he loves sneakers and he has an extensive Hawaiian shirt collection!
